Systems Engineer - 2 Year Contract

What You Will Be Doing

TI Corp is looking for an expert Systems Engineer with a strong focus on server administration, to join the team that keeps the TReO Tolling and TI Corp corporate networks, servers, storage, and applications running smoothly, efficiently and securely. The TReO environment consists of customer-facing enterprise systems serving over 2.5 million customers. They are integrated across multiple data-centre locations and cloud-based services including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS. The IT Operations team and the systems they manage are subject to a number of regulatory audits, so the successful candidate should thrive in creating and working within clearly defined processes that exceed industry standards for security and control. The Systems Engineer role is a long-term position with an initial two-year contract term. Term employees are entitled to the same vacation, benefits and pension as permanent employees. Key Qualifications

  • Experience installing, configuring and maintaining complex Windows environments 
  • Expertise on Windows Domain Administration (Active Directory Management, Group Policy Management, Windows Update Management, Certificate Server Administration, DHCP and DNS Administration) 
  • Expertise on Windows Server 2008 r2 and later 
  • Experience in Virtualization including Hyper V and VMware. 
  • Microsoft Exchange and IIS Server Administration 
  • Experience creating and managing VMs and server configurations on a major public cloud and deploying and maintaining hybrid on-prem/cloud environments 
  • Experience working with best practice CMDB deployments 
  • Experience working with tightly controlled formal change control procedures 
  • Experience working within high pressure, high availability customer-facing environments 
  • Experience producing technical documentation 
  • Experience doing large scale infrastructure deployments and migrations 
  • Familiar with networking principles and experience working within complex network environments (Virtual LANs, Storage Area Networks, VPN/MPLS, Hybrid-Cloud)

Key Skills

  • Amazon AWS Administration (CloudFormation, VPC, Cloudfront) 
  • MS Azure Administration 
  • Experience working with containerization and deployments of microservices 
  • Familiar in configuring IP Networks (Network Routing, Firewall Rules, Virtual LANs, Storage Area Networks), particularly on Cisco equipment 
  • PowerShell Scripting 
  • Barracuda Spam Detection Server Administration 
  • Load Balancing Appliance Administration 
  • Cisco UCCX, or other VoIP solutions 
  • Virtualization with Hyper-V 
  • Experience installing, configuring and maintaining Mac OS desktops


  • Computer Science degree or equivalent certifications and experience 
  • 5+ years of directly relevant experience 
  • Recent MCITP/MCSE Server Admin certification
