Our client, a leader in the logistics and transportation industry, currently has an exciting opportunity for a junior to mid-level purchaser to join their team. Located in Pointe-Claire, this temporary to permanent position offers the chance to gain valuable experience in the buying and purchasing world! Paying between $18 - 21.50/hour, you will work directly with a senior purchaser and assist in placing purchase orders, preparing tenders and requesting proposal packages.
Key Responsibilities include:
Taking work orders
Review supplies and determine the quantity and type of products to purchase
Resolving any order discrepancies where required
Coordinating all documentation
Providing administrative support
Maintain contact with suppliers
Qualifications of the ideal Purchaser:
Have junior to mid-level knowledge of purchasing and buying
Excellent listening skills and attention to detail
Able to work to a tight deadline
Multi-tasker and time manager
