Receptionist / Administrative Assistant

Our client, a leader in providing engineering services in Canada, is looking for a full-time Receptionist  to join their team for a 3 month contract, the right candidate will be offered a full-time position with  benefit. If you are detail oriented, work well in a team and looking to gain valuable experience this could be the opportunity for you!

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ability to follow verbal instructions
  • Routine and non routine responsibilities: maintenance of files/documents, modifying data, or performing analysis on moderately complex information
  • Greets customers, clients, and visitors. Determines visitor’s name and reason for visit then directs individual to appropriate offices or individuals. 
  • Operate telephone switchboard to answer, screen and forward calls, provide information.
  • Perform other clerical duties such as sorting and processing mail, organize and maintain file system, file correspondence and other records.
  • Maintain supplies and arrange for equipment maintenance.
  • Perform basic accounting duties, such as light receivables/payables and/or invoice 
  • Updating and generating reports, assisting in product cycle counting, and controlling non-confirming products, closing and filing pick tickets, supplier invoices and mailing out customer invoices.
  • Update & log prior day's counter sales activity and maintain records.
  •  

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • College degree is desirable
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (MSWord, MSExcel, Power Point)
  • 2 years experience as a Receptionist/Office Admin
  • Strong attention to detail skills
  • Strong communication, written and verbal
  • Must have exceptional communication skills – polished and professional
