Operations Manager

Our client, a highly established international market leader in the fire safety and security industry, has a rare opportunity for an Operations Manager to join their growing team in Manitoba.

As the Operations Manager you will manage installation and service business profitability to meet Branch
objectives, while taking ownership in leading an operations team to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for monthly forecasting of order execution, billings, and expenses
  • Accountable for achieving order execution targets, budgeted revenue and gross margin dollars
  • Mentor and develop operations employees (e.g. supervisors, technicians, coordinators, administrators), and evaluate their performance on a regular basis
  • Control Branch office inventory
  • Drive continuous improvement based on customer feedback
  • Provide necessary reports and information to branch/regional management on a consistent basis
  • Work closely with sales team to ensure project coordination and profitability
  • Prepare budgets with the guidance of the branch/regional management, and be responsible for results
  • Ensure technicians are trained on proper procedures involved in performing required duties

  • Strong people and project management skills, with the ability to motivate and empower others
  • Proven ability to delegate and lead employees to meet expected objectives and goals
  • Strong PC application software skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Internet Explorer)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
  • The ability to interact well with all levels of management and support staff
  • Excellent analytical, time management and organizational skills. Ability to handle multiple assignments while adhering to strict deadlines
