Senior Corporate Financial Analyst / Accountant

Our Client, a global private equity corporation, has a rare opportunity for a Senior Corporate Financial Analyst to join their growing team. 

As the Senior Corporate Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for: 

  • Prepare the monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated financial results and supplementary financial information for the various entities in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Prepare and analyze consolidated and corporate performance on a monthly basis
  • Lead monthly reporting to ensure this is completed in a consistent and accurate basis to senior management
  • Coordinate the annual financial statement audit and quarterly reviews with the external auditors
  • Assist and prepare working papers for interpretation of technical accounting and tax issues
  • Identify process improvements for existing month-end close process & reconciliations
  • Address adhoc requests
  • Provide information to management by assembling and summarizing data; preparing reports; making presentations of findings, analyses, and recommendations.
  • Help to create monthly reports for management and contribute to the improvement based on user needs 
  • Support budgeting process 
  • Assist with due diligence where necessary

To be successful in this position, you will need to following qualifications and experience:

  • Experience working in a firm environment
  • Assurance experience is preferred (ideally at a public firm)
  • Strong understanding of corporate accounting and consolidation
  • Effective organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize, solve problems and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge and experience with advanced MS Excel techniques as tools for financial reporting and dashboard design and development a major asset
  • Knowledge of general business practice and the ability to interpret financial information
  • Experience administering International Financial Reporting Standards is required
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to develop and maintain a professional rapport with clients, consultants and team members
  • Able to deal with situations and people ethically, honestly and with integrity
  • Self-motivated, high energy individual with the ability to motivate others
